WATCH: 84-year-old woman ‘feels great’ after running marathon

An elderly woman from Greater Manchester, UK is an inspiration to all as she runs 20km every week at the age of 84.

The BBC reported that Barbara Thackray started running at the age of 77. Grandma says it keeps her body going.

She ran a marathon and found herself among the top graduates to raise money for St Ann’s Hospice in Heald Green. His late sister was a patient in the hospital.

“I think I’m the oldest runner here,” Thackray told the reporter.

“I feel good,” she was heard saying with a beaming smile on her face.

Altrincham Today News reported that she was with her son James and ran for almost an hour and 30 minutes, achieving her personal best.

To prepare for the marathon, she ran 10 km twice a week. James came from Hong Kong for his mother.

Thackray said people can start things at 70. She added that she was happy to have run with her son who shares her love for running.
